While safety cannot be guaranteed anywhere in the world, our team works diligently to provide a safe experience. We have five US staff living in Kenya to guide you.
Most trip participants use our fundraising platform to get donations from friends and family for the majority of the trip cost. We will help you learn how to fundraise and provide a custom made website just for your donors.
Each trip is uniquely designed around the gifts, talents, and passions of the team members that match up with the holistic development and children’s needs in Kenya. As your trip leader gets to know each member, they’ll coordinate with the Kenyan staff to design your trip.
Aside from personal snacks and souvenirs, the only thing not included in the trip cost is your visa. This is solely due to the fact that each person will have to create an online account and pay individually when they apply. Don’t worry though, we walk you through the process, but you can expect to pay $52 for your visa.
There is wifi available at a few of the lodging sites throughout your trips. If you are looking for a free option, you will be near wifi a few times during your trip to utilize iMessage and FaceTime. However, should you want more access, most phone plans charge $10 per day if you use your phone internationally. We also provide an emergency number for your family to reach our staff at any point, night or day, while you are gone.
