Our Work

divider-3-lines

Kenya’s educational gap keeps children, especially girls, stuck in generational poverty. In family-style homes and classrooms, we are changing this 1 child at a time.

Education Unlocks Opportunity

We believe children deserve to grow up in a stable, secure, nourishing environment with access to quality education.

Education-2

Education

Access to quality education is the primary way we serve a child and community tangibly.

Christ-Centered-Focus

Christ-Centered Focus

All, from staff to students, are introduced to Jesus, who is the foundation of our mission and vision.

Recreation

Recreation

From chess to basketball, each child is able to learn new skills and build their confidence in the context of a team.

Safety

Safety

Every child is known, noticed, and cared for. Children in need of physical safety can find a haven on-site year round.

Health-Care

Health Care

With government health care and incredible health partners, we are able to access the care needed for each child.

Trauma-Informed-Care

Child Development Database

It’s easy to have good intentions. But good intentions don’t always equal a good impact.

In orphan care, the difference is massive and critical to discern. We use a custom-built database to prove our impact is as great as our intention. We track multiple data points, measuring emotional, spiritual, educational, and physical development. We mean well, and we do well; this is what our data confirms.

Family-Style Model

Research indicates that dormitory and orphanage-style homes are not best for the development of a child. That’s no surprise to us at Oasis—everyone needs a place to belong!

At our care centers, we’ve created a family-style model. Our sites have a neighborhood feel, and each “house” creates space for children to belong and be known. House mamas, aunties, and uncles are always Kenyan, which encourages context and culture.

Guardian Care

We don’t want anyone to struggle on their own. While our primary mission is orphaned children, we do have a heart for all vulnerable children in our area.

Many families in our communities are unable to afford school fees. With fully functioning schools at our sites, children can receive a quality education and receive meals on weekdays to supplement the food at home. This benefits the child AND their families. Double impact.

One Mission. Two Locations.
