When Zacheaus, Titus, and James meet for Guitar Club, they learn more than just chords and strumming patterns.
Led by Pastor Fred, Guitar Club is a space where students feel seen, heard, and supported. Through each lesson, he uses music to build character and make deeper connections. It’s part of our commitment to holistic development—caring for each child’s spiritual, physical, educational, and emotional growth.
As the Spiritual Director for both campuses, Pastor Fred writes and delivers sermons, creates daily devotionals for students and staff, and mentors children one-on-one. Even with all these responsibilities, he’s deeply intentional and always takes the time to connect personally with the children at Oasis.
Like many Oasis staff, Pastor Fred uses extracurricular activities to create a safe space, ensuring students can play, laugh, and simply be kids.
“Uncle Fred has taught me a lot and helped me with my character,” said Titus. “When Fred came, he helped me become a person of character that I would like to be.”
